HOLY COW I FINALLY UPLOADED A DRAWING!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhh!!! lol... I havn't submitted anything since Jan. 9... i think that has to be one of the longest periods i've gone without submitting something.... @__@ sorry to the 10th power!!!! I just sorta had a lot going on with school and personal stuff... i mean, i checked up on deviantart every now and then, but i didn't much feel like uploading or replying to anything.. i just wasn't in the mood for it... not that i had anything to upload anyway....
I still have another drawing that i just need to color...

anyway... enough about me... I started this drawing back in December, i think, and i just finished it today.... I hate the way Prince Kail's eye looks.... and his arm... both are making me very irritated when i look at it now. and the fact that kail looks bigger than yuri, and that he seems like a floating head and an arm because i couldn't get the rest of him right.... Kail is a real bugger for me to draw...
If you don't know who these characters are, they are from a manga called "red river" its by Chie Shinohara. (If you want to find info about it online, you can find better sites if you type in Anatolia Story or Sora wa akai kawa no hotori, which are other names for the manga.) Here is a good introduction to it from here ([link]) :
"Sora wa akai kawa no hotori, or Anatolia Story, was created by Shinohara Chie and first came out in 1995. The title translates to ‘Shadow of Dark Water’ in chinese but the Japanese title translates to "The Sky is near the Red River". The manga consists of 28 volumes and was completed in 2002. Currently, it is being translated into english and is titled "Red River". The first three volumes have already been published by Viz comics. The story is about an average 15 year old Japanese student who was grabbed by mysterious hands from a puddle of water when she and her boyfriend were walking in the park together. The hands drag her down and when she resurfaces, she finds herself in the ancient Hittite Empire. Mystery, drama, suspense, and romance all twist together to form this wonderful and intriguing story.
*Note* This is one of the BEST manga EVER!!! I like it even better than Fushigi Yuugi *shock*. The romance and suspense make this story SO AWESOME!!! The manga has made the top seller lists in Taiwan and Hong Kong and it is a MUST READ!! What I don’t understand is why they never made an anime out of this! It is SO GOOD! Trust me, I’ve read TONS of manga (RG Veda, Sailormoon, Shadow Lady, Rurouni Kenshin, Fushigi Yuugi, MKR, X, Tokyo Juliet, Daughter of the Nile, Clamp Campus Detectives, Tokyo Babylon, and the list goes on and on) and this has got to be one of my all time favorites! So that’s why this page is here. To introduce this fabulous series to anime lovers everywhere! Mwahahahahahahaha! *deranged laughter* Ahem…um…I’m okay…really…"
I swear, I LOVE this manga... it IS my favorite manga. I have all the 11 volumes so far released in English, and can't wait till the 12 volume comes out ((^^ hehe, ill be collected this manga for a long time since there were a total of 28 volumes in Japan... We're not even half way in English!)). It reminds me of inuyasha because she travels back in time and stuff, but it is so much better! There is much more romance, there is action, fights, even some political stuff. The characters are often around Egypt a lot, so if you like Egyption things (such as myself) there is just another reason why this manga rules!
I Believe there is a serious lack of fanart for Red River, and we need A LOT more. I have only seen maybe 10 fanarts of Red River, and it really deserves so much more. I call upon all Red River fans to unite XD!!!!!!!
Really, if you have never read this manga, you should definately go to your book store and pick up the first volume. It has my stickie of garuntee! Here are some great websites (even if they havn't been updated in ages) if you want to find out more:
